Tostones are a classic in Cuban cuisine, ideal to enjoy at any time, whether as a side dish or as an appetizer. Their preparation is quick and easy:
Chatinos, tachinos or tostones

Green plantains
Pork lard
Preparation
Step 1 : The plantain should be peeled and cut into pieces between 3-5 centimeters thick.
Step 2 : Then, put the pieces in a pan with warm fat and cook until they start to brown.
Step 3 : After that, allow them to cool and mash them with the same plantain peel or with a thick paper.
Step 4 : Just before serving, fry them again in hot fat and finally, sprinkle with salt before bringing to the table.
