Ingredients

2 cups of Ground ham

1 teaspoon of Dry wine

1 tablespoon of Chopped onion

1 cup of Milk

3 Chopped garlic cloves

2 teaspoons of Butter

½ teaspoon of Pepper

1 cup of Wheat flour

Salt

8 ounces of Breadcrumbs

2 Beaten eggs

Preparation

Step 1 : In a food processor or blender, grind the ham together with the chopped garlic and onion until achieving a homogeneous mixture.

Step 2 : In a suitable container, melt the margarine or butter over medium heat.

Step 3 : Next, add the ham, garlic, and onion mixture, cooking for a few minutes until the onion is translucent.

Step 4 : Then add the dry wine, milk, pepper, and salt to taste, mixing well and cooking over low heat until the mixture becomes compact and forms a ball-like mass, which takes a few minutes.

Step 5 : Once the mixture is removed from the heat and cooled enough to handle with hands, take portions of it (approximately a large tablespoon) to form croquettes or balls according to preference.

Step 6 : Each croquette is dipped in beaten egg and then in breadcrumbs or crushed cookies, ensuring they are completely covered.

Step 7 : Repeat this step for even breading.

Step 8 : In a deep skillet with enough hot oil over medium-high heat, fry the croquettes until golden and crispy on the outside, about 2-3 minutes on each side.

Step 9 : Then, remove from the oil and place on paper towels to remove excess grease.

Step 10 : The croquettes can be served hot as appetizers or main dish, accompanied by sauce of choice.
