Ingredients

1 pound of Raw chickpeas

2 Garlic cloves

2 Onions

1 Chopped fresh parsley sprig

2 Fresh cilantro leaves

2 tablespoons of Flour

½ teaspoon of Paprika

¼ teaspoon of Black pepper

½ teaspoon of Cumin

¾ cup of Milk

2 Eggs

2 tablespoons of Butter

1 cup of Breadcrumbs

Frying oil

Preparation

Step 1 : Cook the chickpeas until soft, drain them, and form a paste.

Step 2 : In a skillet, melt the butter and then add the flour, stirring until toasted.

Step 3 : Over medium heat, gradually add the milk to form a thick bechamel cream.

Step 4 : Incorporate the chickpea paste, the remaining spices, and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture comes off the skillet.

Step 5 : Let it cool.

Step 6 : In one plate, beat the eggs, and in another place the breadcrumbs.

Step 7 : Take portions of the mixture, shape them into croquettes, dip them in egg, and then breadcrumbs.

Step 8 : Fry until golden brown.
