Ingredients

2 cups of All-purpose flour

8 Eggs

2 cups of Milk

1 Lemon

6 tablespoons of Sugar

1 tablespoon of Butter

2 Ground biscuits or bread crumbs

Frying oil

1 pinch of Salt

Preparation

Step 1 : To prepare these delicious lemon strips, first, lemon zest strips must be extracted from the lemon skin.

Step 2 : In a bowl, beat two eggs and add flour until a paste with consistency is obtained, which should then be transferred to a pot.

Step 3 : In a separate container, it is important to beat four eggs and add them to the paste, beating them until everything is well mixed.

Step 4 : Then, bring the milk to boil in a jug, and when it boils, reduce the heat and add the lemon zest strips.

Step 5 : Cover and let it cool.

Step 6 : Once cool, remove the lemon strips, add the milk to the paste and place it over low heat, stirring constantly to prevent lumps from forming.

Step 7 : Add sugar, butter, salt and continue stirring until the bottom of the pot is visible.

Step 8 : Pour the mixture onto a previously greased worktable and let it cool to then cut it into wide strips.

Step 9 : Beat the remaining eggs in a dish and place the biscuit or bread on another plate for use.

Step 10 : Pass the strips through the egg and then through the biscuit or bread to fry them in very hot oil.
