Cuban Cakes
Ingredients
400 grams of All-purpose flour
250 grams of Brown sugar
4 Eggs
2 tablespoons of Dry wine
1 teaspoon of Salt
3 tablespoons of Ground cinnamon
4 teaspoons of Anise seeds
Preparation
Step 1 : In a blender, the sugar and anise seeds should be ground separately, reserving the latter without mixing.
Step 2 : In a bowl, beat the butter with the ground sugar, incorporating it little by little.
Step 3 : Then, add the eggs, wine, and flour, and mix the preparation well.
Step 4 : Spread the dough on a clean surface, sprinkling some flour, kneading it and gradually adding the flour until obtaining a compact dough that does not stick.
Step 5 : Using a rolling pin, roll out the dough to a thickness of 1cm and shape it with a mold as desired.
Step 6 : Carefully place them on a previously greased tray and bake at 175°C for about 15 minutes until golden brown.
