Sweet Bread Pudding
Ingredients
1 Loaf of bread
4 tablespoons of Cornstarch
2 Eggs
2 ½ cups of Sugar
Lemon rind
¾ liter of Water
1 liter of Milk

Step 1 : Cut the bread into one-centimeter slices, leaving it attached at the bottom crust.
Step 2 : In a pot, prepare the syrup with half a cup of sugar, three strips of lemon rind, and water, until it has a slightly thick consistency.
Step 3 : Let the syrup cool and then pour it carefully over the bread to cover it evenly.
Step 4 : Prepare a custard separately.
Step 5 : Separate the egg yolks from the whites and set aside the whites for later.
Step 6 : In a pot, pour three-quarters of the liter of milk, the two egg yolks, a cup of sugar, and four strips of lemon rind.
