Rice with Okra
Ingredients
½ kilogram of Okra
5 tablespoons of Lard
1 Onion
2 Garlic cloves
1 Green bell pepper
3 Sprigs of chopped parsley
5 tablespoons of Tomato purée
¼ pound of Ham
1 Chorizo
¼ can of Spam
¼ pound of Pork meat
½ Chicken
½ cup of Dry wine
1 tablespoon of Salt
¼ teaspoon of Ground pepper
2 ½ cups of Broth
1 Lemon
2 cups of Rice
½ teaspoon of Bijol
Preparation
Step 1 : To prepare the okra, the tip and top must be removed, and then soaked in water with lemon.
Step 2 : In a pot, sauté with lard, onion, garlic, bell pepper, parsley, tomato purée, and the selected meat.
Step 3 : Then, add the dry wine, salt, and pepper.
Step 4 : Once done, add the okra and sauté for a few minutes.
Step 5 : Next, add the water or broth with bijol and bring the preparation to a boil.
Step 6 : Then, add the previously washed rice and cook over medium heat until the rice is ready and has integrated with all the flavors.
