Glazed mangoes with red wine are a true culinary delight, reflecting the richness of international cuisine. In Cuba, they are prepared in a very special way, cooking them with sugar, butter, and red wine to achieve an exquisite balance of flavors.
The mangos, glazed with sugar and butter, are cooked slowly with red wine. When reduced, cream is added before removing from the heat.
After transferring them to a container, they are refrigerated and a sauce is prepared with butter, anise, liqueur, and red wine, reducing until achieving the desired consistency. The glazed mangoes are incorporated into the sauce before serving.
