Ingredients

450 grams of Yuca

230 grams of Malanga

1 Egg

35 grams of Wheat flour

Oil for frying

230 milliliters of Syrup

1 pinch of Salt

Cinnamon

Anise

Lemon zest

Preparation

Step 1 : The yuca and malanga are cooked until completely softened.

Step 2 : Then they are drained and mashed or passed through a sieve.

Step 3 : Add salt and a mixture prepared with cinnamon, anise, and lemon zest, along with beaten egg.

Step 4 : Next, knead on a floured surface.

Step 5 : Form 90-gram sticks and shape them into fritters in a figure "8" pattern.

Step 6 : Allow the shaped fritters to rest for a few minutes and fry them in hot oil until golden.

Step 7 : Let them cool slightly and serve with syrup.

Step 8 : It is important to note that malanga can be replaced with sweet potato in this recipe.
