Caldo de plátano y cerdo
Ingredients
1 pound of Pork meat
2 Ripe plantains
3 liters of Broth
1 Onion
1 Chili pepper
4 Tomatoes
1 Sour orange
¼ cup of Lard
2 Garlic cloves
¼ pound of Noodles
Preparation
Step 1 : In a pot, heat the broth.
Step 2 : In another pot, make a sofrito in lard with onion, garlic, and chili pepper.
Step 3 : Add the tomatoes and continue sautéing.
Step 4 : Add the pork meat cut into pieces and mix everything well until it starts to brown.
Step 5 : Then, sprinkle with sour orange juice and add half a cup of broth.
Step 6 : Cook over low heat until the meat softens.
Step 7 : Add the rest of the broth and, when it starts to boil, add the plantains previously cooked with the peel, peeled and cut into pieces, as well as the noodles.
Step 8 : Cook until the noodles are soft and the broth reaches the desired thickness.
